Kayak specific crab pots

Member on NWKA, ThreeWeight, found crab pots being manufactured especially for kayakers. Measures 1'X1'X4"
Although that will limit your catch. Is the standard size fine as is? If not there's an alternative now.

Looks more like 1'X1'X2'.  The 4" on the website is probably a typo and should be 24".

I think those might be a bit hard to modify for the CA "rotten cotton" requirement. Depends on how big those circles are.

Ummm ... remove the rings and just add cotton.

You just put the cotton on the lid hook bungie and your legal.

For some reason I thought you had to do the rings and not the door. 

The rings are for the juvinules  and smaller crab. The cottons are there if your trap is lost or abandoned. If you take the rings out your traps do not work as well. Plus I think the rules are " 4' rround opening." If you take the ring out and replace with cotton the open becomes smaller.
