Where can I find a list of N Monterey Cty. launch sites?

Some what new to this area and kayaking in general.  Can one just launch on any water he can obtain access to or is there unpublized restrictions?   

In Monterey County you can launch at any beach where you have access and are capable.  In Stant Cruz County, the beaches are designated as swimming beaches and boat/kayak launching is retricted to certain areas.  The local kayak shops have the specifics on the acceptable places to launch in Santa cruz.
