I'm finally getting around to getting my 2014 Highlander set up for hauling my Revo 13.   Have the factory Highlander oval cross bars coming this week.   Looking at buying Malone Sea Wings since that will make hauling 2 yaks a bit easier space wise.   Anyone else have the Malone and have any comments?   Anyone happen to have a pair they want to part with?

I have them and love them. Easy to load and very secure while traveling. They don't tend to catch as much cross wind as the j-racks.

I use a pair of Seawings on my Highlander.  I swear by them.  Also, being a fatter saddle than most, it helps avoid oil-canning issues.

Which factory cross bars exactly?  I started by using the ones on that came with the vehicle.  They had too much flex to them for my comfort, so bought some Rockymount Ouray crossbars.

I had them, along with the stinger, on my car for 3+ years but have never used them. Easy to install and I haven't had to re-tighten them so that's a positive.

There's another member who absolutely hates them and maybe he can chime in.

I also have a set with a stinger.  They work okay, the stinger is a nice addition that makes loading easier ( though I now prefer the hullavator for ease of loading  :smt002).  If I had to complain about something, I guess they don't lock onto my thule bars as well as some of the other attachments I have, so it may rotate slightly.  Never has caused a problem for me though.

I've had mine with the stinger for a couple of years now and have been very satisfied. As someone said they can rotate a bit on the Thule bars, but never enough to worry about. For the money they've been great and the stinger makes it possible to load a heavy ass tandem solo if necessary.

cheers,
Brad
