Had  some technical difficulties with the Mac in the last couple of weeks but all fixed now!

Any body with a apple products ever experience this...
I would get this image and then it would go to a white screen then re-boot. It would do this over and over again.

Thank for the reply guys . I was just wondering because when i was talking to a apple care on the phone, they had me do all the little things like, hold down the -command key +R,
-Command + Option + P + R,
-on power + shift
-command + D for Diagnostic.
When all the testing was done and it didn't help bring my Mac back up they had me bring it into the Apple genius bar at Westfield mall. When i got there they plug it in and powered it up and the Mac booted up normally  and the lines were gone.  "Wow"  What the heck went wrong or right!  :smt012 They continued with a stress test on the Mac's video card, that displayed all kinds of images, pictures, colors, and video's all at the same time on the monitor and was never able to reproduce the problem with the green bars, the white screen and the Mac rebooting on its own.
All Fixed with out an explanation :smt001

Long shot... but if it happens again, try a different outlet at your house.

Well the green bars came back  :smt013 That's why I haven't logged on in a while. So, I bring it back to the Apple Store at Valley Fair and this time when they plugged it in they seen with their own eyes the problem. The graphic card went bad and checked it in for repairs. A week later I get a call to let me know that my iMac was ready for pick. When i get there, they bring out my iMac and the first thing that catches my eye is the gouges they left on the right edge, scratches by the apple logo and the lint inside the glass. I wasn't to happy about how they handled the maintenance on my machine. So they checked it back in.
A few days go buy and i get another call from apple and they told me they found more problems with the iMac and they wanted to replace it with a new one if i wanted. I agreed to it and they gave me a New Mid 2013 27” 3.4Ghz iMac Only difference is it doesn't  have a DVD drive. That's OK, because i have a external  DVD drive that works. I was pleased that Apple took care of it  with no cost out of my pocket, only my time :smt001

Sucks that it died, but great that it was replaced for free. Not many companies would do that!  I rarely use a CD/DVD anymore, and my work laptop doesn't even have one (to save on weight). You going to be fishing on Sat?  :smt003

How much added weight does a CD/DVD drive add to a laptop? I dread having to move to one without a drive.

Well, not that much.  But this laptop, a Lenovo X1 Carbon, is made to be light as possible.  They removed everything they could to lighten it. No regular ports on the thing at all, need a dongle for video or wired network cables. I can carry it around in one hand all day.  Very light, even my netbook at home weights more.
