Cabela's has their fish eagle series of rods all 50% off right now. Anyone had any experience with them? Look specifically at the spinning and salmon/steelhead rods.

My very 1st steelhead rod was a 8'6" spinning Cabelas Fish Eagle. That was almost 30 years ago.
I landed 1 or 2 fish on that rod. :smt002
I'm sure its gone thru a few improvements since then.
I buy one again...maybe 2
Whats funny is, 2 days ago I just gave that rod away to my cousin.

I have about 4 of those,  GREAT RODS for salmon and steelhead. We used the 9' and 10' versions fishing Coho in the streams of southeastern Alaska.  Good performing rod that you don't cry too much about when they break as a fish doubles back under you...crack!
