Hello my name is Marc, and last year was my first kayak ocean fishing trip and I'm hooked.  My first day out was as anchor bay with 7 other friends and not only did we catch 30+ rockfish between us but we spotted what was most likely a large great white shark about 100yrds away circling on the surface for about 60 seconds. My second trip was to timber cove and not only did I get into 5 different lings but my buddy caught a huge cab with a belly full of crabs.  I have a tandem 17ft folbot Greenland II in red with rudder and expedition package.  It is now rigged with my fish finder and rod holders. I've learned a lot from these forums already about proper safety gear and it's great to be part of the ever growing community of amazingly nice people who have the same fanaticism as me about the big blue.  I look forward to seeing you guys out along the north coast as I live in petaluma and there are some great places right down the road.  Rockfish season seems so far away but I can't wait for another great year. Thanks to everyone for a great forum and great times so far.
