Hello, I've been doing a lot of research on what Kayak to buy and seeking some advice. Also, would like to say hello to everyone since this is my first post. If anyone has any experience kayak fishing the crescent city area any input would be appreciated. I've always done my rock fishing from land and now to venture out and give kayak fishing a try. Looking forward to learning from all the experience on this forum. Also, the two kayaks I've been going between is the OK trident 13 and the Predator 13. Any feedback would be great.

Thanks, Bryan

Welcome!  Sorry, I don't have anything to share regarding your two kayak choices other than you really can't go wrong with either.  But as folks have already said/will say, the only way to really know is to demo them and see what feels best for you.

Bryan, Welcome. I'm just a few weeks older on this board than you so am not the voice of experience others are. I just bought an Ocean Kayaks Two XL figuring it will handle myself and one daughter some of the time as a tandem, and myself most of the time as a big single. Still figuring out how I'm going to trick it out with rod hlders, etc as it came with none.
Keep your eye out for a blue tandem and come say HI if you see me out there- mostly spearfishing but hopefully some H&L too. Good luck, stay safe! Warren

Welcome, Bryan.  I've fished from my yaks out by Castle Rock, off South Beach and at Wilson Creek as well as along the Smith.  Trinidad is pretty good, and Shelter Cove is my favorite.  Maybe I'll see you out there.   :smt001

I have a Predator 13 for sale. Only used a few times.

Welcome!

Demo, demo, demo.  That being said, I much prefer the Trident 13 to the Predator for ocean fishing.

Also, do you own a tactical turtleneck?
