I have $300 in Amazon gift cards and I'm wondering if the lowrance chirp units are worth the extra cost? I can get an elite 5 HDI for the about the same price as an elite 4 chirp. I'll be using it almost exclusively for bass fishing in 5-40 feet of water.
Thanks!

Go for the Chirp.

I've had both elite 5 HDI and Chirp. The Chirp was better.
