Went out with bigeyedave and his dad this am.  Stripers went off right at the launch as we were unloading our yaks.  A quick glance at each other and we were running to the water with our rods.  I hooked up on the first cast and soon realized that my 6# spinning reel wasn't going to do it off of the beach as the line was leaving the reel quickly.  Dave launched my yak and I gained line back as soon as I was in the water...fish #1 was in! Dave then ended up in the middle of a massive boil for fish #2.

More details later, but i will be going back at 0530 Friday if anyone wants to see Mendo at its best.
