All,

I should be out at the Forebay oh, say noonish on Saturday to set up camp.  Hopefully Mooch will be there also.

Can we get a shout out by all the campers so we can reserve enough space?

Can we have a fire?

I will bring my fryer and totillas and salsa and cabbage for tacos, please bring something to compliment that.  I plan on putting the hurt on the LMB population on saturday for tacos.

You can have a fire.  I would bring a few fire pits or if not.... plenty of wood.  Because the fire pits there are 50 gal metal drums.  I bring some of those popcorn tins and put duraflames in them.  Only two cars to each site.  May want to talk to the rangers on that one.  Sites are mostly far apart.  There are a couple near the old boat ramp and 3 to 4 near the cove.  You can see if they will let you park on the old ramp.

But, sleeping wise you will have to go to a campsite.  First car is $10 overnight and the second is $5 or $6.  They do take down names of the campers and come by during the night (7 to 10pm.).

Bring pently of warm clothes & jackets.  Get windy durning the night.  Wind breaks if you got them.

Please do not park without paying for parking.  A few guys learn it was a $50 to $60 ticket.

There is a market by Lucky Larry's if you forget something and a few Hamburger places in Santa Nella.....about 5 mins away.

Good Luck,  Ken kickfish

Anyone camping?  Anyone?  I just found out that I'm stuck in San Jo for the weekend so I may as well get out and fish.  Mol, let's get the catfish groove on Saturday night!!  Any of you guys heading to Mendo care to place a side bet on biggest kitty?

Word up on the cats.

Can you fish for them from the campground shore?

I believe you can but you just have to find a place that's not so weed infested. Or just go out to the weed line, drop, and paddle back. About 100 yards minimum if I remember right. Although I have seen people casting out into the weeds too.
