Beautiful day to kayak it was today.  Trolled from belden launch ramp by grizzly island to little honker bay. Plugged and trolled on way back. 14 inch striper.  Very few fish caught from others as well . Tides and current were mellow. Does anybody else kayak monty? Great place to go. I used to fish here all the time when i had a boat. This is my 1st report with many more to come i hope.

Do not leave anything of value in your vehicle there. Especially at night.

Thanks for the report. I've wanted to fish that area but haven't gotten around to it. Maybe someday.

A few years ago (or more) there were several nice sturgies caught there by NCKAers,

I gave it a few tries but didn't get anything but small stripers,

Always thinking about giving it another try but never seem to get there.

I have yet to kayak it but have been taking the power boat out there the last couple weeks scouting things out. Hope to get out there on the yak once I get things figured out. Oh and welcome to NCKA looking forward to the reports.

I live close to Beldens landing so let me know, I love fishing out there except IT IS TOO DAMN SLOW!  :smt044 I does offer some beautiful sights and bird watching though! :smt044 I just can't get much luck out there and have become disouraged. I can usually get in for baby stripers but haven't had much luck catching any big uns. WOuld love to organize an overnite to paddle all around the island to explore the whole island. I just plain sucks that we cannot launch any other spots expect for Beldings. I get sick of paddling in the same spots , I have done better going west then up to Little HOnker Bay but have heard some huge stripers come out of there but that is always what someone was told by someone else.  :smt044
Send me a pm and I'll go out and explore with you sometime

Jimbo sounds good. Me and my sons have caught nice fish little honker bay area. Exploring overnight would be a blast. Buddies and i have talked about night fishing in the summer. I too would like to launch elsewhere. Will keep you posted if i find a spot..could launch at the salinity gates i was thinking too.

Thx for the info Guff, I fish the salt dam end of mont. from shore at a duck club. A few nice fish have been caught there but nothing to brag about for me  :smt001. I will be there Monday and Tues trying for dinos and geese.
