Sweet!!  I just got my 5:1 stainless steel gears from Charkbait.  Evening of pimping my jigmaster ahead.

I now can build my sturgeon/tuna slayer penn 500!

I'm calling it the JigMonster.

Bonus!!

Newel annoyment.

 :smt013

The newel pinion gear slot is just a tad narrow.  My normal spools fit well, but my extra spiffy red spool doesn't fit.

Damnit!!!!!!

Ah well, the whole of the guts of the reel are stainless now, so it is all good.  I jut need to grind the spool flange.

5:1 is cool.  Drag stack is the bomb.

It looks pretty cool with everything stainless, not that you would be able to tell on the outside.

i'm home working on reels all day on monday.  if you have time, swing by the house and we can try to mix and match the gears to see if we can get a working match for you.  alan
