Custom flag maker?

I'm hoping to find someone who can make custom flags. I just need one, about 12x18, bright orange with big black letters that say "DEAF". After my DFG zodiac encounter and thinking about various possible encounters, I've been thinking this might be a good idea so people know they won't get my attention audiologically.

But the cheapest place I've found is $80!  Any ideas?

I'd like it made of plastic or something very water resistant.

Maybe just find a flag that meets your size requirements...and try placing vinyl lettering on top of the flag.  Or even stencil n spray paint(fabric paint).

Check with a company like 'FastSigns' or a local sign shop.  Should be able to get one done for ~$30.  How about a sticker for the sides of the hull that read 'Deaf'?  Would be fairly cheap.  Other alternative would be somewhere that does embroidery on a nylon flag?

If you want to do a little sewing or gluing, I THINK I still have some HEAVY DUTY orange rubberized fabric/material that they use for semi-truck load tarps & such.  The vinyl letters should be able to stick to it pretty well.  I bought it to make a set of Hobie Tramps but it was just too much work to be worthwhile.  I think I still have a 6' long piece left.
