Thinking about a trip for some rock fishing south Oregon friend says the season is open. Done a fair amount of fishing in crescent city just not up that far yet.
Any suggestions for fishing, crabbing, clamming, of any kind. Any suggestions on where to go and fun things to do. Places to stay?Going eureka to coos bay. Have 4 days to do.

Thanks for any advice given.

Matanaska just hit up brookings. Said it was a little slow.

Odfw has good as icon clamming on its website. I haven't checked the ocean forecast but if it's reasonable just go all the way through to coos bay and fish sunset.

Oregon is open year round 7 rockfish limit no coppers China's or quillback a and sublimit of 3 blues. No cabezon retention right now, opens in July with a sublimit of 1.

Let us know how it goes.

Come on up Sunset Bay plus Bastendroff beach campground are real nice. If the ocean is a little rough you can always fish the inner bay of Coos Bay. A bunch of us hit Sunset Bay Monday, A little slow but everybody caught fish and I think there was about 5 lings caught. The fishing should pick now that the ocean is not a chocolate brown from all the rain we had. If you want to crab, the Lower bay would be a great place to throw your pots. Its About 5 min. from the campgrounds. Can give more intel on the fishing out of Sunset tomorrow, plan on going out in the morning.
