Anyone have and use one of these?  I've read a few testimonials regarding this style and even though some were good some were bad, I thought I'd get one just to have as a back up and carry it in my EDC.
I really don't expect much from the rod, and the reel?  Well, the crank spins both ways, the drag knob? well it tightens the spool, there is no release, other that simply letting the crank spin as it's cast.  The button on the top of the reel is labeled in the minimal instructions (As expected) as a "Brake"
For $9 (Free shipping) off Amazon, I thought WTH.  I plan to load the reel with either 2 or 4lb test.

I never seen one, looks tempting, but I do keep a popiels pocket fisherman for those emergency fishing situations that come up.  Fits in the motorcycle saddle bag just right.

The pen rods suck,  Break easy.  The reel I have no experience with.

We should slap some braid on them and do a tournament with those.

I need to find a mini spin reel for the rod I have pictured.  The small Shimano I have is still too big for the pen rod
