Just wondering if there are any Kayak Bass Clubs in the Sacramento Area.  If not Is there enough interest in starting one?

Hay Tony, Check out Yak A Bass on Facebook. Great group of anglers. They are from all over though. They
have derbys, fish n chills and lots of other good stuff. I live in Sacramento and joined there group.

Right now Yak-A-Bass is the only bass club in the area. We are having 5 tournaments next year from Tracy to sac. And everywhere in between. We are a black bass based club for tournaments but fish n chills are what ever you want to target. When it warms up we have groups of guys going out almost weekly and anyone and everyone is welcome. Maybe one day we'll get a sub forum on ncka to get those who don't use Facebook the opportunity to join in on the fun. I'm hoping to at least get all of our tournaments and official fish n chills posted here so guys know what's in store and what's coming in the future. Hope to see you on the water- James

That's Great!  Just what I'm looking for. Going from a 21ft, 225 hp Bass boat to a PA 14.  I haven't got a Delivery date yet.  But it's paid for and I modified a Shorelander Jet ski trailer.  CC&K told me I could use one of their demo PA's until mine arrives.  Please keep me posted on when and where.  I'll be there.

I don't use Facebook and every now and then I check the forum site out and it's been dead. No results were posted from the sugar barge event. They were posted on Facebook instead.  :smt012

You went with the Cadillac of kayaks right on. Right now nothing is official till our season starts in march but I know guys are going out this weekend for sturgeon they really want to fill there cards but most of the guys are not active on here since we're mostly all bass guys. I'm leaving on vacation till the end of January hopefully the water Temps pick up a little and we can get some green fish. I know most of us are targeting stripers sturgeon or trout right now just to keep us busy .

It's really hard for us to get guys to post on the forum when Facebook is all ready on everyone's phones and we all do large group messaging to get responses a lot quicker. I know Facebook is not for everyone that's why I'm trying to get our events posted as soon as I can here. But starting in march every 3rd Sunday till October we will be having an event that's official plus the meet ups guys set up during the other 3 weeks of the month.

March-20 Sunday- Tournament
April- 17 Sunday- fish n chill
May- 22 Sunday- Tournament
June- 19 Sunday fish n chill
July 17 Sunday- Tournament
August 21 Sunday fish n chill
September 18 Sunday Tournament
October 16 Sunday tournament -final and aoyt awards

We've picked all of our launchs  for tournaments I'm just working with them now to make sure we are OK and won't be in any bass boat tournaments way. Once I have the OKs and dfg permits in hand I will have a full list of where were headed bit they are all delta waters no lakes for tournaments but fish n chills are still fair game.

Lures only?  Or do you allow bait.

As a fly only guy, I hate fishing against bait users.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Lures only no live bait! We check gear in the am before launch. I'm going to have my fly rod with me as well so I can switch between conventional tackle to my fly setup depending on what's going on.

33" of wide comfort. I wanted to fish sugar barge, but my schedule didn't allow me to. I made some lures I wanted to try for that event. I'll be watching on here for event post. I'm a bass fisherman at heart, but fish for everything. I still have 3 tags for sturgeon!!!  :smt011 March should be a good tourney.
