scupper pro for fishing

I have a chance to pick up a 15ft scupper pro. Does anyone have any experience with a scupper pro as a fishing platform?

The Scupper Pro is a classic with a cult following. Paddles beautifully, the tank well model is preferred for fishing although the 2 hatch is fine too. It is best suited for paddlers >six foot tall or so and >240 or so. Deck layout makes dealing with fish challenging due to a lack of flat surfaces but it is a kayak and it is always something to be done with some care. It is a simple, elegant, capable craft. I hope you get a great deal.

Beware they can be tippy.

I fished off a beat-up scupper pro TW for about 4 years, great yak for me, 5-7", 185#
Never overloaded it, many times only one rod etc.
Fast boat, wasn't tippy at all.

I bought my first scupper pro in 1996. I wish I would have never sold it. Or the other three I've had since. It's a great fast sot. That kayak will offer you years of great times. Do it. How much is it? 

I use scupper pro's for work, and my brother fishes out of one in La Jolla. I love the scupper pro! They are fast and narrow for a plastic SOT. With a little balance and a comfortable seat you should be set to fish.

They work great if you know what you're doing.
