hey there Wess here. North bay kayaker and boater. Love to fish mainly salty stuff, newer to kayak fishing, die hard fisherman since I was a kid. Most likely going out on the Petaluma river and going to drift some bait, got like near 8 feet of tidal movement today. wish me luck!

If you go today you should have a Quick release anchor just to be on the safe side!! I really want to get a sturg from the yak this year but for now I will be mainly Steelhead fishing!

where is your choice locations for steelhead? I would really like to get into steelhead side drifting on a kayak. Spent a lot of time in years pask on smith river with my pops in guided drift boats
