Sounds a little fishy to me, no pun intended.  Why would you take your PFD off before you reached shore at the end of a paddle?  Just another loose item to deal with when landing.

Wtf???   It's a good thing some lady saw them, RR should be moving pretty fast right about now, and the steelie season is just about to start.
