Ty and I launched at around 3:15 and headed up stream to the first big hole and started bouncing roe and casting spinners. Lots of Traffic lots and lots of rolling fish. saw one 30+ lb landed but heard of many more. water clear and swift enough for a good work out. No love for us but a very good learning experience.  Lots of guys deer hunting and when we landed for awhile deer tracks EVERYWHERE. Most fish dime bright and plenty of them. coming in at dark thirty Jigged gibbs on the float in. Had a great sunset to our right and sweet full moon behind us. Man we live in a great area!!!   Randall.

Man, Salmon fishing is a waiting game isn't it--a long, long waiting game. You just maximize your time in the strike zone and hope and hope. I admire your persistence and I think you'll eventually be rewarded. As you said though--beautiful place to be while you are waiting.

Nice job.

Ord Bend up near Chico?  Where did you launch?  (Trying to follow your adventure on a map.)

Thanks.
