Hey guys/gals, I'm Will and I'm still fairly new to fishing/diving the area.  I moved here from Rhode Island 2 years ago where I primarily bass fished on fresh water lakes.

I've gone for abalone a few times with a banks board, but I just acquired a used kayak from my neighbor and attempted crabbing in Bodega Bay last Saturday morning/afternoon.  Conditions were great and I dropped my pot toward the end of the incoming high tide.  I was unsuccessful and it's probably because I didn't venture outside the break wall.

Anyways, looking for some advice and to maybe meet up with a fellow member interested in sharing some knowledge with a newcomer.

Thanks in advance!

Will

Welcome to the club, Will.  You've landed in a good spot with lots of experienced members in your area and many prime outdoor destinations nearby as well.  Looking forward to seeing your reports.   :smt001
