Went to Wind Toys today to check out the new 2015 upgrades. They had a 2015 Sport down so I got to check out the new seat & drive. But what was missing was the rumored new side pockets. Seems some of the new models aren't shipping with them yet but they had the new PA17 that did have them so I got to see that they are for real and will hopefully be available for all Hobie's soon. Just thought I'd let this be known so people know what to expect at this time. I hope they'll be phasing the old pockets out so no more stuck hooks.

Gotta say how much I look forward to that new seat when they finally start making some of the 16's! The back support & adjust-ability is great.

Do you know whether they sell the new side pockets yet? I'd like to upgrade mine, which have all (got 3 of them---installed an extra one by my feet) been ripped up by hooks.
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

To avoid getting ripped by hooks, spray them with plasti-dip. Works wonders. But the top part (garter) getting saggy, that's a different story.

Now Hobie says they're only going to be included on the PA's. Hopefully they will eventually come on all the models.

So the rubber mesh pockets are now available! You should be able to order them through any Hobie dealer, it just replaces the mesh and you use the original frame. Cost is $9.99

Thanks for the tip.  I am tired of getting snagged with the old mesh fabric.  I am ordering a pair asap.

Nice finally no more stuck hooks especially when a bite is hot. Sometimes I just want to rip it out!
