Can't wait!  I've been sitting on my season ski pass now since March.  I'm dialed in, ready to bang the bumps and hit the hot tub!

Thanks for the warning, might be a good time for me to go clear the creek on the 60 acres above me before it builds another dam at my driveway  :smt012......be safe all.....
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

I'm digging out the generator and getting some fuel in my gas can.  Then the propane tanks for the RV.  When all else fails, there's the RV to keep things going!

Not sure of the exact numbers, but wife says at least 4" last Thurs-Sat.  Had a HUGE branch come crashing down onto our deck railing ripping out a plastic curtain (To protect deck) fell from one of the 2 Douglas furs.  Rest of yard is littered with tree duff.
Wife is enjoying a break in the storms today!

That is why my RV is always ready to go.  When we get back from camping we dump it and fill all the tanks before we put in the back yard.

Areal Flood Watch
Statement as of 10:39 AM PST on December 08, 2014
...Flood Watch in effect from Wednesday evening through Friday evening...

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a

* Flood Watch for a portion of northern California...including the following counties...alpine...Amador...Butte...Calaveras... Colusa...El Dorado...Glenn...Lake...Lassen...Nevada... Placer... Plumas...Sacramento...San Joaquin...Shasta... Sierra...Solano... Stanislaus...Sutter...Tehama...Tuolumne... Yolo and Yuba. King...American and rim burn scars.

* From Wednesday evening through Friday evening

* rainfall amounts forecasted are 1 to 3 inches in the valley and Delta. 2 to 5 inches in the foothills and 3 to 8 inches in the mountains. Snow levels will lower to around 5000 ft on Friday.

* Periods of heavy rain over recent burn scars could cause debris flows and flash flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on small creeks and streams and possibly flooding...and ponding of water in urban areas...highways...streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage areas and low lying spots. Additionally...country roads and farmlands along the banks of creeks...streams and other low lying areas are subject to flooding.

The severely burned areas are of particular concern...these include the south and middle Forks of the American River and The Rubicon river basins. These areas have experienced severe tree and vegetation loss and heavy rain is likely to produce excessive runoff.

Those traveling in the vicinity of burn scars...especially the King...American and rim...should be alert for possible flash flooding and debris flows.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
