Driver wedges car into Golden Gate Bridge walkway

Alleged drunk driver this morning -  now that's a tight fit

that one is an instant classic   

How did the idiot get over there in the first place?  I don't drive that bridge.

He apparently could not handle Fish 'n Brew's brand of tequila.

Here's another view of the GGB that most will never see.  This was my dad on top of the GGB tower back in the early 90's or late 80's.  I keep these pictures in my desk and think of him every time I cross that bridge.

McQueen wouldn't have hit the bollards and somehow managed to vault the railing and drive on instead oh getting wedged!!!

A 22-year-old motorist careened through a parking area at the lip of the Golden Gate Bridge early Tuesday, jumped a curb and crashed through a security gate, then raced along the span's southbound pedestrian sidewalk before his 2014 Ford Mustang became wedged between a wall and the walkway railing.

When officers arrived shortly after 5:10 a.m., they found Daniel Soto of San Francisco standing next to his vehicle, which was traveling "fast enough to cause the air bags to deploy when it became wedged," according to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Andrew Barclay.

Paramedics took Soto to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Southern Marin fire Battalion Chief Kai Pasquale was stumped when asked how a vehicle could get on the narrow sidewalk, then travel for several hundred yards before getting stuck. "I don't know," he said.

Barclay said it wasn't easy. A preliminary investigation indicated Soto turned right at Conzelman Road in the Marin Headlands, crossed a parking area, plowed through a steel pole, jumped a curb and crashed through a steel security gate before getting stuck near the North Tower.

At least he left enough room to get out the passenger door  Probably saved the car from being cut open. But he has bigger problems than that I guess
