I fished the port with Old Fart this AM.  We launched at the Barge Canal at 7:30 and spent the day looking for some stripers.  We drifted minnows and trolled lures but the fish had lock jaw.  I boated a 6 pounder on a minnow mid morning and John scored another fish on the troll.  The fish finder showed plenty of targets but not many takers.  Thanks for teaming up with me John.  A few photos for your approval……

Old Fart on the troll.

Ghost ship!

The first volunteer of the day.

The FF don't lie.  There be fish here!

Saw this guy out there running on an electric trolling motor.....it could have been you.

While drifting with minnows I observed this line above my depth and wondered what it was....turns out to be my minnow swimming on a 3 foot leader above my sinker.

Thanks for the report. That striper looks chunky.

I only have tomorrow to fish so I'll be heading out there tomorrow! Rain or shine

Great report. That foggy pic with the ship is pretty kool shot. And yes the fish are definitely in there. Looks good for the upcoming chill!

Thanks for schooling me on the port, Sam.
One small fish trolling a rattle trap at 20 feet on the down rigger.

It was foggy and cold in the morning but cleared up and became a beautiful sunny afternoon

"Pedo Viejo" is what Antonio called me.
