Just retested a couple minutes ago with the comcast one and got 60Mbps and was like WTF?  Then I realized everyone else had gotten home and jumped on Netflix and other sites.  After the netflix video ended I tested again ( still with the others in the household using who knows what) and got 82 down 6.7 up.  So far so good.

Meanwhile, in Eureka with uverse I get 1.7 down and 0.32 up. It's almost like AOL dialup.

100 Mbps downstream / 5 Mbps upstream for $45 per month

Damn thats cheap!  Unfortunately, not available in my area.  I'm paying $28 for 15M down / 2M up, but that rate is about to expire in about 4 months. I need to find a new ISP soon.  What are you guys currently paying for internet?

Glad it worked out for you.  They have a limited service area.  Also maxes out a 300 GB a month.  I wonder what they charge for overage.

In the past with streaming netflix and computer work from home I have exceeded that allotment before. But comcast never charged me an overage fee.

I am paranoid about overage charges since Verizon Mifi bill cost several hundred dollars more when I used to much while in the RV. And I was intentionally trying to reduce the use while traveling.

Comcast blast plus.  69 a month, on wireless only, always over 40 down /8 up and usually closer to 55/10.  I'm happy enough :)

I'm paying $85/month after everything for 100Mbps Internet/Unlimited Phone/Basic Cable TV, including a $10/month DVR rental.  If I decide to stick with Astound, I will probably buy my own cable modem and Tivo.  I did have to reboot the modem this morning.  I'm going to chalk this up to the new install, but it has been noted.

Have a whopping 3MBPS down and .5 up  :smt005  Somehow these days I don't really care about speed.  I guess because I dont game anymore really.  But that 3mbps is enough to watch Netflix on two devices, and still browse NCKA!  :smt003  But donwloading a ISO is a pain... i just let it run overnight lol!

I don't game, but the one thing I do notice is the increase in video streaming quality.  Netflix and other online streaming places will automatically increase (or decrease) your video quality based on the bandwidth you have available.  What once was pixelated video before is now beautiful HD quality video for me!

depends where you work...concrete basement bunker on the coast --dial up --- on the mansion--and a linksys wireless adapter to reach out of the thick concrete walls...  :smt010  :smt003
