I love the Eagle Cuda 350/S but it has been discontinued. I am looking for similar items, I was told it was replaced with Lowrance, but which model? Have you use it? What are the pros and cons? Thanks

The older Elite 4 or 5 model should work with that transducer/power cable setup that the Eagle Cuda has (not the Elite 4 or 5 HDI model).  Another would be the X4 or Mark series by Lowrance.  Problem is, all the units that used that same transducer setup are discontinued.  They had stuck with that transducer/power cable setup for many, many years.  They made a change in 2014 so all the units now use the 'blue' plug setup.

A couple new units to check out might be the Lowrance Elite 3x (color fishfinder only) for ~$100.  Followed by the Elite 4 HDI (while you can still find them ... ) or the Elite 5 HDI; both of which are FF & GPS.  All depends on how much you want to spend.  Lowrance is moving away from the B&W models so I believe we should see a "full color" lineup in the very near future.

Hit me up if you have any other questions.

Best bet then would be to look for a used Elite 4 or Elite 5 (before they became the HDI series).  I believe your older Eagle uses the uni-plug?  Black, 'D' shaped & is the transducer & power cable all-in-one, correct?  I've heard of a few people looking to upgrade from the Elite 4 to the newer Elite 4 HDI model.

Where did you see that one for $147?  Be sure that it comes with the transducer for that price.

Well that would be a great price!  The HDI is newer, and larger screen than the one that I posted.  Although there is this message on the website:

"BoatersWorld.com is under construction and will reopen soon. "

Lowrance ELITE4X HDI 83/200 Fishfinder $147.99

Lowrance Mark-4 HDI 50/200 455/800 $300.00

The Elite 4x HDI is a FISHFINDER ONLY (no GPS capability) -- Color Screen.  83/200 HDI transducer is wider angle, great for shallow salt or most any freshwater use

The Mark 4 HDI if FF & GPS -- B&W screen.  50/200 HDI transducer is narrower angle, great for deeper salt/freshwater applications

Both are HDI so it has the WIDE angle coverage for shallow salt & shallow fresh to give to structure scan imaging below you.
