Sweet yeah only other question i have is how u get the crays out the trap? I dont see a door...? Or a bait box etc. ive got a couple traps and often set them up in Tahoe. Id love to get together and do a boil... Maybe trap a bunch then shoot down to doran and do some crabs at same time.... Thx for posting

I cut a door and just fastened it with a button and rubber band. I used a bait box, but you can use a hanger also. Build one and try it out. Then modify as needed.

I also made a tow bucket so while I am dip netting, i just toss them in the floating bucket tied to my waist while wading around.

That looks like fun and I even have a crawdad trap.  We need to do a crawdad/drift fishing get together.

And man is that one huge freaking pot!!!
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Thanks for the report. I wanna give it a try and see if I can find some. Do you know if they hunker down for the winter? I've heard that, but also have seen them crawling in the shallows after a rainstorm. How would you compare the taste of those vs the red crawfish?

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure when the water temps get around 60 they will not be as active! They still taste great though!
