Hey All,

My name's Cole and I'm from the Bay Area born and raised. The past few years I've dedicated to mostly fly fishing up in Montana and Wyoming, but fate has brought me back home and I've been enjoying rediscovering the ocean around here.  Been doing a lot of fishing lately  off of the rocks and with a poke pole on the Sonoma Coast but I've been feeling called to purchase a kayak of my own to try and venture out further to target the deeper reefs for some big old cabs, rockfish, and lings. What kind of Kayak would you recommend for a first timer like me? I've been looking at the Trident and it looks pretty reliable or maybe a Pelican?

I'm also always looking for fishing buddies as I am tired of going out on my own all the time and would love to meet more local people around here to fish with!

Looking forward to chatting with you all.

I was also born and raised in the Bay Area.  I miss fly fishing Montana but there are plenty of things to do around here.  Welcome aboard and good luck choosing a kayak.

What Sonny said!

Demo and find what works best for you.

The Trident series are super solid, versatile yaks and very popular for sure!
