Took my dive Buddy out who had never been fishing/crabbing off yak till yesterday. Launched from old pier in HMB and straight to drop pots. After pots were soaking headed to reef to do some fishing. Was very slow but he managed to get a nice cab. Only got 8 crabs between both of us but couldn't ask for better weather or company .  Sorry for getting off subject. Anyway he looking for a nice/cheap fishing setup. I told him to get a ugly stick/tiger for rod but looking for a decent used conventional reel someone might have laying around and want to part with. Not to big though.Possibly wrapped with line already.
Let me know what you got and how much.
thanks

I use an old Penn Senator 3/0.  I don't have one for sale but there are a ton of them on ebay for cheap, and some of them have line on them (though I would never trust someone else's old line).  If he wants something smaller he could look at the Surfmaster, Beachmaster or Squidder.
