Some buddies and I want to tuck in somewhere around Santa Cruz to avoid the swell this Saturday and try to nab lings and rockfish. I haven't fished up there yet. Any recommendations on kayak entry points near some productive reef?

Cheers!

The reefs near the "Mile Buoy" are popular (one mile straight out from SC harbor). You can also find RC and lings off Lighthouse Point (Steamer Lane).

Park on the street near Aldo's restaurant and launch from the small craft spot right down the walkway.

If you can go Sunday instead of Saturday it should be a little calmer...

Good luck!
