Nice day paddleing w/ my wife.  not much fishing but i did drag a lure around.  We anchored and I did a little free-dive practice.  One time I came up on the yak to add some weight and I lost a fin!  I couldn't get down to look for it w/o fins...so i added a lot of weight to my weight harness and  tied it to a rope.  I held it and let it pull me down to the bottom I searched for the fin.  it worked pretty welll but I still didn't find it!   :smt010

On the way out of willow creek...I goosed the van and both yaks slid out onto Flosom blvd!  I always tie them in...eecept today.  :smt010

All in all a nice day with a couple of little sad points.

P.S.  anyone got one fin for sale?   :smt001

Don't assume whatever you drop off your kayak when anchored is right below. Rarely does that happen. Your kayak is pretty much like a pendulum and the anchor is the pivot point. You don't feel like you are moving. Unless you have the front and back anchored; you are.
I learned this when CHUB dropped his weight belt. His kayak was the 3rd kayak in line as only mine was anchored. I dove and dove all around under his kayak looking for the bright yellow weight belt to no avail. I had to take a breather so I climbed back onto my kayak. I went to resume my search and swam about 35 feet away from his kayak just to scope some abs. I found his belt there; nowhere near his kayak.
