Got this in the email today...I know some of you have been thinking about picking up a Roleez kayak cart, so I thought I'd pass it along.

http://www.wheeleez.com/canoe-kayak-dolly.php

The kayak cart with sand tires is on sale for $169 plus free shipping in the lower 48.  Good deal for those interested.  I wanted to buy just the tires, but it seems that the Roleez cart I have can't be retrofitted to take the sand wheels.  :smt009  Since I already have a cart and no fishfinder I'm going to pass on this sale, but I hope it's useful info for some of you.  :smt003

You need to get some advertising done then eh? How about a GWKC link on this site? Sure we'd all be happy to shop at our NCKA brethrin's shop if we just knew more.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

there is one

Ah hah, there is. Well I guess it's not doing a very good job if people don't know and are buying elsewhere.

Just some ideas. Maybe the link could be more informational? Something that says "Support your local kayak shop run by kayak fisherman, shop GWKC" or "Online kayak sales & fishing gear from Ukiah, Ca" might help more people shop there and get to know your shop and prices better. As the link stands now it could be a shop anywhere so the shopper might not be too inclined to click the link.

Just got my cart today.   It came with some cloth thing to turn the cart into a seat (worthless) and the yak hanger (also pretty worthless to me).  It also came with some straps that will end up being a part of my yak stand.  Pretty quick delivery, free shipping...not too bad.

Now I'm one step closer to having all of the things to make my trips a little bit more trouble-free.

Do most of you have the cart with the balloon tires? Knobby tires? Both?

I have both and will get rid of the knobby tires as soon as I get another Roleze cart.

I bought mine at the Benecia factory and they threw in a low-pressure tire guage.  The balloon tires work really well in soft sand.  Broken down, it fits in my P15 hatch, it adds some floatation, but there's no room for anything else.

It is possible to convert from the hard tire to the beach tire version. It'll cost about $98 plus another $10 or so for shipping.  You can order the parts thru the Wheeleez link above.  You'll need:

2 ea of the 30 cm Roleez wheels with 3/4" bushings  ($38.91 for the blems)  The part # is RZ1-PU30-GB
1 ea axle, part #RZ4-CKT-AX  ($10.00)
1 ea kickstand, part #RZ4-CKT-KS  ($10.00)

Essentially, you'll be changing everything but the basic frame which is a single piece of formed aluminum tubing.  In addition to the parts above, you'll need to fabricate a couple of spacers to go between the tires and the axles.  A piece of 1" PVC tubing works fine.  I took step-by-step pics when I did it, so I can post them later if anybody wants them.
