New memeber from Watsonville

 Hello everyone,
 My name is Jose, I live in Watsonville and fishing is my favorite hobby.
 I finally decided to to go back in the water in my kayak, I'm still a newbie in the kayak fishing and I hope to learn from all of you guys here.

I'm here in Watsonville as well.

Almost always have a kayak or two on top of my black 4runner so you might see me driving around town...

Bunch of guys around here that get out pretty frequently so keep your eyes open for hook ups or post up when you wanna go out...

I'm usually either diving or with my daughters but you would be welcome to come out whenever I'm going...

 Thanks guys, I'm working on getting my kayak all rigged out for fishing, any suggestions as far as fish finder,trolling motor and other equipment
that  that I can use?

Welcome to NCKA Jose  Check out the "Gearing Up and Rigging Up" section and you will find lots of information there.

Skip the thought of trolling motor for now.

Jose,

Start simple and slow...checkout the Gearing Up section like Bill said, and more importantly get out fishing with some guys here and see how they have their yaks set up...

Make sure (especially if going out on ocean) to have life jacket, VHF radio and wetsuit in case you go in the water...all the rest of the fishing stuff is just optional but the safety stuff is pretty much mandatory...

That's my advice at least...
