Hi guys, can  Anyone recommend a good legal folding net that I can stow in the hatch of my revo 13? I never use a net for rf but regs say otherwise.  I found this one, any one have experience with it fitting in the hatch?

Why do you want a net stowed in the hatch?  When you need a net, YOU NEED A NET!  Big 5 carries a net with a folding handle which would fit in one of you pole holders on your Hobie.  Make sure the net opening is at least 18 inches to comply with the F&G regs when carrying a gaff.

I use and like the promar trophy 20" folding net. I've only had it for less than a year but so far so good. They have a smaller 16" net and it seemed less durable, more plastic, and wouldn't recommend that as highly.

Stowmaster makes great folding saltwater nets

A little more expensive but pretty much bulletproof

I've had mine ~ 15 years and no issues

The saltwater lineup

Looks like on the 20" they may have changed the mesh size but when I got mine I called and talked w the owner/manufacturer and he sent mine w a deeper net for salmon and other big fish

I have two, one may be 24" if you're interested PM me

You stow the net to be legal. I have no need for a net other than the regs.

If you want to be legal and will never use it just get 1 of these http://www.austinkayak.com/products/4999/Promar-Dive-Bag-22-x-34.html

one day for sure ...you WILL need a net...and on that day you will need a BIG net....

I was told that ,fishing with members who have had large fish break away at the kayak and I only needed to hear 15-20 times before I got a large net....oh I meant sail

Net also good for securing the fish in your kayak while retrieving your stringer.
