American River Sailor Bar to Sunrise

I'm going to float Sailor Bar to Sunrise tomorrow with a buddy of mine.  He wants to fish for steelhead.  Any tips?  Spots to look out for on the river, etc.  Any help would be appreciated.  Both of us have plenty of experience on the yak but are unfamiliar with this section of the river.
