I've been fishing for Stripers in the Petaluma River launching from the Marina, and also Corte Madera Creek in Marin County.

I've also fished the mouth of the Petaluma down in Port Sonoma from the shoreline prior to getting the Hobie.

Where else, in the North Bay preferably ,can I catch some FAT Stripers?

I'm fishing Petaluma River today  17AUG.

Black point  outside of the port Sonoma marina. High tide going out I've had some bites there , shad and bull heads if it's available. Will be fishing from shore in the AM .

Brickyard and Marin Islands in San Rafael.  Launch from the cove on Pt. San Pedro Rd about 3.5 miles from Central San Rafael 101 exit, at Riviera Drive.  About 20 ft. from car to water.  Just read a report of Stripers at the islands but haven't been out lately.  Good luck!   :smt006

I'm going to have to give it a try in San Rafael , Brickyards & definitely the Islands. I Went to Black Point on Sunday and caught the tide going in and started up river. Had a South wind and drifted down to Bahia. Turned up into that slough and fished for 3 hours catching only Bullheads for bait.

THE CURRENT was RIPPING...omg! It took an hour to get out of there. When I  got back to the river the wind had shifted and was coming from the north so getting back to Black Point was a breeze. there were nice little roller waves with some whitecaps.

I deployed my Sail and had fun tackin' and jibin' so even though I didn't have any Stripers I had a Great time sailing.

Thats cool lol I was there for a short while in the am loaded all my gear but forgot my leaders. So I just casted lures and played around. I hope you tried using the bullheads for bait. I was there today again saw a squad of kayaks launch and headed up river.  No bite report,  but definitely waiting for the big stripers to roll in.

I'll be trolling between the 101 bridge & the turning basin in the Petaluma River today...Eventually I'll find some shade and cast some cut bait.

High tide.
Calm high tide is best as the water muddies up fast
Buddy was there yesterday and got blanked.
