Going to be camping there first or second weekend in September with friends of the family.  I'll be taking my tandem to give boat rides to the kids, but is there anything there worth bringing a rod and reel along for?  Any and all info appreciated!

Lots of smallies in that lake.  Also has trout but the water is probably a bit warm for them right now.

Not sure about current water level but they generally keep it up during the summer for all the lake lice.

I think I just saw it listed at something like 94% cap. vs. it's nearby cousin, Lake Don Pedro at 41% & falling fast. :smt012

Back in late 60's early 70's the lake was my dads weekend hang out.  His Glasstron boat was the gear barge for the rest of the people camping with us.  Their boats were huge HP ski boats (No freeboard) so dad's boat was used to haul their stuff in.  Many weekends spent there when I was a snotling!  It was crazy with high powered jet boats then, and no houses around the lake to speak then. I imagine with all the real-estate around the lake now, it's probably more crazy.
It's been over 40yrs since I've been on the lake so can't help you with the fishing part. Viewed the lake on Google earth, trying to find the spot we used to camp on.  (No luck so far)

Thats cool, sounds like there isn't too much serious fishing to be had.....maybe just leave the gear at home, and give boat rides to the kiddies in the shallows away from the boater traffic.

Ohh no there is lots of quality fish and probably a lot less pressured than most lakes. Just ALOT of drunk partying boaters.
