I'm thinking about buying a pole spear and set the gun aside for a while to have some wild action with the pole spear but, I was curious if anyone knows of good pole spears to look at or buy .
  Thanks you , Kris

Ling hunt is local, and I've heard great things. Around $100

Crist spears pack a wallop. I got the 6', but with the 18" tip it's 7.5 feet. It could go through a car door. Not super cheap though...about $250.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

Ive used the cheap t rident ones they work but you have to frequently straighten and sharpen the prongs often once every three or four trips or so the tip is fixed and barbless so you have to grab it quick whatever you shoot.but at 35$ you really cant complain too much.the jbl are a little nicer. Aluminum compared to the fiberglass trident. Lighter and shoots quicker. Also you can change the tip screws on.down side is its aluminum so if you slip and land on it it'll bend.my .01 cent
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Kris, send IceColdChuck a PM.

He has been slaying it with his pole spear these past two years.
