Nice meeting everyone.  This was my first HOW event and not my last.  Tacos anyone?

This was my first HOW Event and for sure not my last. I had a great time. great people giving back and sharing what they love with Service members. no fish were caught but I don't think anyone really cared. it was awesome meeting the people that put this on.

man it was a great day to be at lake san pablo. The weather was great. Some cloudy with occasional sunny, not to hot, not to cold, slightly breezy with some random gusty. The vibe was very chill. All of us volunteers seemed to gel nicely and everything rolled out quite smooth. The vets all seemed relaxed and happy. The taco shack was pumping out tacos like a well-oiled Henry lever-action rifle. Big thanks to ohhhgee and DG. You guys are natural born taco-makers. We served about 120 tacos for breakfast(linguica,eggs,jalapeño,onion,cilantro&cheese). Then we served up 120 of ohhgeee's family recipe pork tacos for lunch which were absolutely outrageously delicious. Quite possibly the best f---ing pork tacos i have ever tasted. I also want to thank my wifes friend Korren Farkas who used to be a baker before she became a school teacher. She baked and donated 4 huge pans of awesome treats including coconut cookies,dark chocolate brownies,rugelach and chocolate chip cookies.

Great Job everyone. Wish I could have been there. Great to know you all are supporting such a GREAT Cause. Thanks for the Pics. Something for me to look forward to participating in the future

I wanted to help. I came to this event not knowing anything more then the Logo and they help vets kayak……..
 
  Wow what a great program HOW is! I left feeling refreshed and happy all over. At the end when the Vets were leaving they all had so many good things to say, " Ive never kayaked before"  " Ive never fished before " and the best but a simple " Thanks". I think we maybe "hooked" a couple of the vets on fishing even tho the bite was wayyy slow. GREAT food guys and what a team the kitchen!!!!! Cant wait to see you guys again. And I second that everyone should come to a HOW event once and see what Dan and gang have going on for the vets. Thanks for carpool'n Sarge.
