Mendo Lake 10/8

Vic and I are planning a little Striper action at Lake Mendocino on Sunday. (Sean your video clip threw us over the edge).  We are hoping to launch around 6.30 am.  Company always welcome.  Any ideas where to get minnows so early in the morning?

There's a sporting goods store in either central or the last couple exits in Ukiah, and I don't remember what it's called either (not much help) but if someone else knows the name of the store they should be open that time of the day.

There is a store called Diamond Jim's sporting goods located across the street from Carl's Jr on State Street. Take the North State Off ramp and go right (south) past the second light (empire) and it will be on your right.

There is a small general store on Lake Mendocino Drive called Lake Mendo General located in the 800 block of Lake Mendocino Drive, which is at the intersection of Lake Mendocino and Eastside Calpella Road, just West of the dam. The store sells minnows for $1.25.

There is a Walmart off of the Talmage Road Off Ramp on the South side of Ukiah and a Big 5 store West of HWY 101 on Perkins Street in the Albertson's shopping center.

Diamond Jims doesnt have minnows unfortunately, and the shop on LM Drive doesnt open til 0800.  The good news is that this time of year 0800 is probably early enough.

Thanks for the info guys.  What a relief that the bait shop only opens at 8.00am .  It would have been one very early start for us coming from Sac.  Cheers.
