Newbie from Santa Cruz

Went out Kayak fishing with my brother last week and now I'm hooked! Excuse the bad pun...
Starting out on my old kayak I had laying around. When I get a few more trips in I will probably begin looking for some better options but as of now I just want to catch some fish!

Last weeks trip I hooked in to a big lingcod and got so excited that I reeled him all the way in and above the water line, where my line snapped. Doh! Always learning!

Anyways my brother led me to this forum and I am looking forward to the wealth of knowledge and hope to have some input someday!

Yes RBark would be my brother. Hopefully I'll be joining him again the week after next kayak fishing outside of the harbor.

Yea if you ever fish with me ask me how I got my nickname. It's a rather funny story. Figured its much easier to remember than the Orwellian blandness of Mbarker.ca heh
