Arrived at the Delta Meadows ramp around 7:30am. The father & son team, Bdaddy and 2-skinny were already unloading at the ramp.
Did the intros and hit the water. Worked our way out Railroad slough to Snodgrass slough.
From there we headed up to Lost slough and did most of our fishing there.
Bdaddy was on fire. Every time I looked over towards him, he was unhooking another bass.
2-skinny did a great job too and caught his fair share of bass today.
I caught a bunch of dinks and a couple nice fish, all on senkos of various colors.
Headed back to the launch against the incoming tide and a head wind. Off the water around 1pm.
According to my gps, the round trip was 6.59 miles.

I had a great day on the delta with Bdaddy and 2-skinny. Great guys to fish with...look forward to fishing with you again.

You find the oddest things on the Delta. Went past this floating bar at the beginning of Lost Slough. The "Cuervo Dock".

16" lmb, one of the biggest I caught today.

Same fish

Another lmb

A different angle of the same fish

One of the many dinks we caught. These are some tough fighting, hungry little fish.

This is an interesting houseboat. Needs a lot of work.

We missed you out there Adam.
The boats that passed by were all cosiderate enough to slow down.
Great area to fish. I would like to head farther up Snodgrass slough next time.

I loaded my GPS track file into Google earth.

We could see I5 but didn't get that far.

The trip was 6.59 miles.
The green line is my actual gps track. I save the track as a .gpx file using a great free program called EasyGPS. Then open the file in google earth. It loads the track and any saved waypoints into the map. Very cool.

I'd like to see the gps tracks from someone trolling along the coast. That would be interesting.

Yeah Al, great trip!!!!  That tracking from the GPS is awesome!  Man, I didn't realize when we did it that it was over 6 miles, but on the way back you certainly feel it.  Good times.  Hope to meet up with you again soon.

Great shots Al Gotta love that Delta, I gotta get back there soon.
Why Do I paddle a kayak instead of a float tube or a pontoon boat? I like seeing where I'm going not where I've been!
Paddle safe and wrap'em tight.

We had a great time fishing and exploring the delta via kayaks Sunday. One of California's scenic treasures.
Al was our fishing guide, and as you can see he is clever with the GPS.   Wow 6.59 miles, we defininitely covered some water.
Looking forward to the next trip, maybe for Salmon, (when they decide to move up river) in the Sacramento.

inspiring work AL.  looks like the fall frenzy is in full swing on the delta. Was considering mendo tommorrow for obvious reasons, but now ,after seeing those picturs, im thinking of staying local for LMB. we will see in the morning.

I wanted to hit Disco or the American for salmon this weekend, but the reports aren't good, still too slow.

I may head back to DM this Sunday and go up Snodgrass to the Twin Cities Road area.
Those LMB are fun and I'm still looking for my first 10 pounder.
