Not mine, but I thought somebody here might be interested:

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/for/4570343259.html

I actually stopped by and took a look at it today. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but there's lots of rust on every visible thing on the underside that could rust (leaf suspension, hubs, etc.). But the wheels do spin free, so maybe it's not as bad as it looks. Anyways, the owner seems to want to get rid of it, so he's probably very flexible on his price.

Seems a little pricey since there are no saddles included IMHO.  I have one of those trailers under my AI & love it.

Actually, the saddles are included, although one of them is broken.

So it looks like this was a full AI trailer package.  Wonder what he didn't like about it?  Says that it wasn't suited to the job?

I see them in the back of the picture now ... on the ground.  Wasn't mentioned in the add.

He's actually got a TI, and the trailer model is "AID", which presumably stands for "AI double" or something similar.

His (rather implausible) story is that his car is small, so the rear of the trailer points up, making it difficult to load the kayak. He says he got a standard boat trailer instead---I didn't see it but I assume it's got rollers to make the loading easier. I wasn't really convinced, since that seems like a downgrade. My guess is that there's effectively no suspension in the trailex trailer anymore, due to excessive rust, which caused his expensive (and heavy) kayak to get roughed up going down the road.

Btw, I'm sure he'd accept $600, maybe even less than that. The trailer is so light, you could almost use it as a dolly. In fact, if it had accepted a 2" ball (as current trailex do, at least according to their website, and as the owner had told me it did), I'd have taken it. But I didn't have time to replace the ball on my car today, and don't want to make another trip to San Rafael.

That is the larger trailer because it has the leaf springs.  Mine does not.  It uses something that looks like tire tread as a "spring".  It tows great with something loaded on it but bounces itself down the road when empty.
