How far is it out to the green can for the salmon action? Have down rigger for my yak... or should I run a deep diver??

How far is it out to the green can for the salmon action? Have down rigger for my yak... or should I run a deep diver??

Not far. I think it goes green then red and then red/white buoys.  I think the deep diver is easier because you don't need the second pole or a downrigger. Its really up to your preference.  Have fun.

Yeah, the can's pretty close.  Unless the bite is real good, that may be just your starting point.

You may want to try Caspar if you're in the area--just out front on the north side 60 FOW.
