I don't want to pack a rod but I'm thinking of buying a cheap spinning rod/reel when I get over there since we're staying right on Sunset Beach near the famous Banzai Pipeline.  Just checked out a web cam and apparently it's more like Banzai Lake in the summer  :smt003.  Just want to get a line in the water and maybe catch some dinner, not looking for anything hard core.  Any advice?
