Just checking to see if any of the Brothers out there do any aluminum welding that live near the Monterey bay (Salinas area). I own several aluminum boats. Besides my kayak. Just in case the situation arises. Will trade for fish or Dinero . :smt003

Thanks , Alex

Just had my tin can welded on here in Paso Robles. If no one here on the site can fix it. Stop into a welding supply store, They can tell you who will do a good job.

fwiw...there is a small industrial complex next to the parking lot of that glass place on abbot st...cant remember the name..augies glass?...anyways there is a guy in the back of that strip of roll up door shops named MAC...macs welding I think...he can do killer work and is very fair on price -he will  run a bead of aluminum perfect on any thickness just about...great guy...he welded up a stripped exhaust stud thread on my aluminum head ...in place on my kz900 and re-tapped it....no simple job...and it was a done deal..held up for years now...very tricky spot to do that kind of work and he just nailed it first try...he will be doing my frame bracing kit soon...super guy too

The boatyard in Moss Landing does aluminum welding as well as stainless and is reasonable. I would want to have someone who understands marine requirements doing the work. I have had them do repairs where they reinforced the affected area. Doubt someone without their experience would have done this nearly as well.
