Fished the incoming and part of the outgoing with spinners. Caught one 12" eggeater. Was hoping to cast for perch on the beach side but the whole mouth changed shape, I guess from the huge winter rains. I couldn't access. Huge logs and debris all around. The wind came up in the PM and kept pushing me back further and further into the estuary. I wish I knew how to post pics, I have a shot of fish under my boat, on the ff. I actually got a hit when going thru these fish,, it didn't stick.
The ocean is flat, going to be for a couple of days. Going out in a PB out of FB tomorrow.
Fish-on!

You get around, Mako!  I live about 3 or 4 miles from where you were fishing - Loleta.  I've poked around a bit down there this year, but not seen anything really happening yet.  Guess it's time to start trolling a bit in the evenings after work when the tide is right.  You're right about last winter's affects on the mouth - what a change from the past!  The crabbing won't be the same at the mouth, that's for sure.

Feel free to get in touch when you're in the neighborhood.  I'm in the book/info.

Juan, that's you right?

Nice report. Man I wish I lived closer. It's quite a 'haul' from Santa Clara with SF and Santa Rosa in the way and traffic bogging down all the time. Mendocino was far enough--but most of the time was getting through SF, Marin, and Santa Rosa.
