done both, Santa Cruz is more of a sure thing for rockfish.  Capitola is OK for rockfish/ling but kicks out more butts

Last year, they posted a picture/report of a guy that made a run to the Soquel Hole in one of their rentals.  Luckily he made it back with a salmon... :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

I saw a couple of SC skiffs out in front of Natural Bridges on sunday and I wouldn't be surprised if they were outside the boundaries.

I've seen em all the way up to wilder, crazy mofos.

When I was skipper for one of the West Marine boats, I saw a blurp on the radar one HELLA foggy day while @ Soquel Hole & out of the fog comes a yellow rental skiff .... no GPS, no COMPASS, no RADIO.  He asked which way Capitola was & I gave a point & off they went.  Watched them do all sorts of circles, figure 8's & such on the radar for the next hour or so.  Finally the fog lifted & I 'think' they made it back to the wharf.

I think I saw him too on the Moss side! I've seen Ed on that side, but he runs the place.

PB goes on the radio and rats him out: "Capitola, I found your missing skiff"
