I've got some old fish that I want to get rid of before the crab season ends. Can anyone recommend a spot in Santa Cruz I could drop my rings? Thinking of dropping the nets and then go for rockies. As I will prob be out there Fri/Sat.

Thanks!

Dead set on Santa Cruz? Not much of a crab location. Way way better out of HMB.

Per Windfinder in HMB,  Friday morning looks doable winds to 9mph, waves at 5ft at 7 secs.   Get off the water by 2Pm though, the wind picks up to 14mph.

Saturday looks windy at 12 to 13mph in the AM.

I might join ya on Friday if i can get my scheduling worked out this week...

Santa Cruz crabs are all out deep.  and, rather scarce this time of season.  Polepole can advise you on HMB.  he's been killing it this year up there.  In 30-40 FOW!!

We did well at HMB last week except for the rough conditions.   Retrieving the pots was scary but we got lots of great Dungies.

Tommorow's forecast:

Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 75. Light and variable wind becoming west 9 to 14 mph in the afternoon.

Do you guys think this is doable?
